Childhood Trauma

When you have endured prolonged and repeated childhood trauma, in one or more ways, it is called COMPLEX TRAUMA. The resulting cluster of symptoms is called COMPLEX PTSD.

If, as a child, you were exposed to repeated or ongoing trauma you may experience:

*Difficulty with relationships

*Depression and/or anxiety

*Difficulty with trust

*Health issues

*Low self esteem

*High levels of stress

Perhaps you grew up with emotional, physical or sexual abuse or neglect, or lived in a household effected by substance abuse or mental illness. Maybe you were viewed as “different” and ignored or severely mistreated. You adapted to very difficult circumstances over a long period of time. You have shown great strength and resilience.

I will bring my whole self to provide a safe and supportive space for you to discover yourself – not the you on continual high alert, but the you that can just be.
